Friends
The Association has formed the Friends of the Apollo Pavilion so that everyone who loves Victor Pasmore’s creation can play a part in sustaining its well-being and ensuring that it remains prominent in the public eye. To become a Friend can cost as little as £3.00 per year.
With their first subscription Friends will receive an original photographic print of the Apollo Pavilion and a copy of the Association newsletter. All members will be listed on this website with corporate members listed on the home page.
There are three types of membership:
- Individual membership: £6.00 per year.
- Family membership £15.00 per year (up to 5 family/friends).
- Corporate membership: £25.00 per year.
Corporate members will additionally receive two free tickets to the annual Apollo Pavilion Guest Lecture.
Residents of SR8 1, people living in close proximity to the Pavilion, get a further discount and pay just £3.00 for their individual membership and £10 for family membership.
Being a Friend of the Apollo Pavilion gives you an opportunity to express your views and aspirations for the structure, attend talks, meetings and events and to feed into the planning of future programmes and initiatives. For further information contact the APCA Secretary (see contact details below).
"Victor Pasmore's Apollo Pavilion at Peterlee was a pioneering work which has stood the test of time. Pasmore's vision for a more humane environment in the post-war world is one with which we can still identify. Pasmore saw the pavilion as a focal point in the community and I strongly support the work of the Friends' Asscoation in realising his ambition"
Sir Nicholas Serota, Director Tate Gallery
